*looks at calendar* Wow, is it that time of year again, already?

Apparently, the new Twilight movie must be out? Because all I can heard/see is about that movie. It's getting annoying. Like, REALLY annoying.

I read the first Twilight book. It was alright; not great, not especially horrible, just...meh (I did like Carlise and Alice, though). I have no desire to see either of the movies...even though the actor who plays Jacob is pretty hot...

But when all I can hear about is the movies, or about how Edward is perfect, or about how hot Jacob is, it just gets annoying...

You know what? Screw both of those teams. Team Achaean ftw!!! (yes, I am a dork )

Well on that note, I will end with a song that I discovered from Grey's Anatomy, from one of my favorite scenes (Which I can't post here, because all the clips I can find have no sound...thanks YouTube copyright )

Are you doing anything for Halloween? Dressing up? A party? Anything else?

I'm dressing up as a hippie and possibly going trick-or-treating at the mall And for the occasion actually wearing a dress...hopefully pictures will be taken.

And yeah...that's pretty much it. Just completely stressed out, drained, I hate chemistry and failed a test and have another exam this coming week. I don't see much better on the horizon...especially since I've sort of figured out my schedule for next semester...still doesn't look good. Oh well.

Oh, and my sub is going to run out...well, not a huge deal, I'm not here as much anymore .

So the winners of most of the Nobel Prizes are in. I thought most of the winners were pretty cool. For example, the winner(s) of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry discovered the structure of ribosomes, and the winner(s) of the prize in Medicine and Physiology discovered how chromosomes protect themselves.

And then there's the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize: Barack Obama.

I'll be honest, I don't like Obama. I didn't vote for him. I don't believe all his promises of change, nor do I care for his health reform (to be fair, I didn't like McCain either.) But he's the president and I respect that. In the few months he has been president, I haven't seen much of changes, but him putting money into car companies. Oh, and a few dipolmacy trips...and last I checked, not much came of them.

And he won the Nobel Peace Prize for....wait, what? *goes to the source* "For his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples."

Excuse me, what has he done, besides visiting other countries? I'm pretty sure President Bush did that...heck, most presidents do that. Great, he's all for peace and cooperation between nations. Most people are. But what has he done to deserve the Nobel Peace Prize, which, at least in my opinion, signifies a great giving to the world in promoting peace and helping others? Not much.

Another way to look at it: He's joining the ranks of Martin Luther King Jr., Elie Wiesel, Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa, Mikhail Gorbachev among many many others (and Al Gore...bleh)

Again, I ask, what has he done? I can see why these people have gotten the award. I can't see why Obama has.

Maybe someday, if all his change works out and the world becomes a better place because of him, he could have deserved the award. Not now.

I'm just...shocked. Kind of disgusted too. Of all the people in the world, of all the people who have worked for peace and actually acomplished something, why him?
