Copy/Paste from my complaint on Complaintopia

I hate spring. Minnesota likes to get a crap-ton of snow, it all melts, and suddenly we've got a huge muddy mess (not to mention the lovely springtime blizzards that like to visit). I've lived on a farm all my life, and it's just a pit when spring rolls around. Mud two feet deep.

This just tops the cake. We've gotten a record snowfall this year (I believe) so it's all starting to melt. I'm in college, which means I don't have to deal with the mud-hole of a home as much. Instead I get to deal with a river. We're in a valley...the Red River valley to be precise!

Anyone heard of the Red River flood of 1997? Google/Wikipedia it and be enlightened. It was a bad flood...really bad. This year is supposed to be worse...it's going to rain all week, we've had more snow then that year, and...and...shit it's just not good

Luckily, my campus is fairly safe from the flooding. It'll be a mess, but at least it won't be bad. Tomorrow we get classes off after 10:30, and we're supposed to go out and sandbag. I don't have rainboots...or a rainjacket...ect...

And I have a class at 9:30, which means I still have to go.

I'm just frustrated with all this. Stupid spring, stupid snow, stupid mud, stupid river.

It's like a fucking watery, muddy hell.

tl;dr/c: I hate spring and flooding sucks ass.

I feel like I should go. I have a take-home math test that I have to finish tomorrow, not to mention some refining on some essays, but this is important.

I passed the Buffalo River today going back, its overflowing it's banks. The rivers are cresting...roads are getting closed. The news for the past 15 minutes is all Flood Watch. It's supposed to crest at 39-41 feet by Friday and it's at 23.14 feet now

Classes here and in the college near me are going to be canceled after early morning classes. Kids in the schools here who have a waiver can get out of school and help.

This is bad. I've never had to deal with anything like this before...

God, we're so screwed
